COI helps your group fulfill your 2010 mission with new domestic mission sites!  Many of our new and alumni groups have requested that we offer more domestic and economical outreaches in this difficult economy.  The inner city of Chicago has become a rewarding place to reach out, and fits the bill!

COI is partnering with a Christian Day Care Center in Roseland that serves as a refuge for unwed mothers, and local low-income and needy families. Their beautiful new and large facility serves as a perfect dormitory for our Chicago-land outreach groups.

The testimony of the daycare director herself is nothing short of miraculous. She left her job and prior lifestyle to care for children in her home. Her ministry grew beyond the children to include their mothers, most of whom are teen-age, unwed, or school age Mom’s. The free day care requires that the mother’s come to Bible study and help in the neighborhood outreaches that the Center sponsors regularly.

To date, dozens of the mothers have completed high school or college, and many are gainfully employed.

 The refuge that the center created for the Moms and kids has impacted the troubled neighborhood by buying up five local drug houses which helped to chase some of the drug use out of town. The Center influences the entire neighborhood with its regular outreaches and constant presence.

 COI will offer training in street evangelism at this site, as well as work projects, Children and Mom ministry, park outreaches, feeding, distribution and many other opportunities to make a difference!

 Also available in Chicago are specialized long weekend outreaches including Back to School, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter, and of course Summer!
